Anatoly Akhutin describes the original intention that led him to philosophy and stresses several definingmoments. Those include the relationship of Anatoly Akhutin with his teacher Vladimir Bibler,Akhutin’s understanding of the place of his own thought among his predecessors in philosophy andAkhutin’s definition of the essence of philosophy as that which deals with the origin and can be seenas the logic of the origin. He also considers the relation of the particularity of a philosopher and theessence of philosophy. The contemporary situation inclines Akhutin to address such topics as the definitionof philosophy as a science, philosophical definition of science, the role of analytical philosophy incontemporary philosophical discourse and place of philosophy at Universitis.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary interaction between philosophers,linguists, psychologists and neuroscientists, all united by their interest in a naturalistic approachto consciousness. The key speakers were famous philosophers and scientists, including John Searle,Thomas Metzinger and Konstantin Anokhin. The topics of the reports covered a great variety of issues,ranging from the relation of the ontological subjectivity and epistemic objectivity of consciousness; thestudy of consciousness and self-consciousness through the phenomena associated with various formsof bodily experience; the search for the conceptual bases for the scientific study of consciousness, theproblem of qualia, attention, free will and various aspects of philosophy of psychology.

Karlsson’s book is dedicated to epistemological justification of main concepts of psychoanalysis: libido, unconsciousness and attraction. The central and main part of the book is devoted to the problem of conceptualization of mental, which the author sees in the definition and interpretation of the concept of the unconsciousness in psychoanalysis. Phenomenological tradition is used here as an instrumental apparatus and accompanying tradition, but the book, investigating points of similarities and gaps between two traditions, is one of the variants of scientific cooperation of phenomenology with psychoanalysis.

Thematic variety of report at this conference was kept within the declared boundaries of correlation of philosophy with the social context, in which it solely exists, quite rigidly. One of the speakers formulated several theses concerning interference of philosophy and social context: conscious suspension of social-cultural context in the interpretation of the tradition is not productive, socially meaningful context of the thought is always differentiated, there is always a “motivational complex” in the connection of semantic realties.

Upitni aspekti regionalne ekspanzije analitičke filozofije. Jedan kritički osvrt

This paper examines the phenomenon of the progressive expansion of analytic philosophy within regional academic centres. Thus, the author refers to the certain problematic aspects of this phenomenon, primarily the tendency of the institutional predominance of this type of philosophy over other important currents of modern philosophy. Furthermore, the author also points to properties of analytic philosophy, such are the inclination to conceptual scholasticism as well as to scientism, which may well be questioned. This critical observation is then completed by the advocacy of a consistent respect for the diversity of philosophical thought – both in research and in teaching.

Mit o skrbi kao pokušaj legitimacije nadempirijske apriorne datosti kroz Boffovo i Heideggerovo poimanje skrbi kao konstitutivnog momenta ljudskosti

The intention of this paper is to highlight and point out how the ancient literature, mythology and numerous philosophical sources formed the roots of the idea of care in a familiar Hyginus Myth of Cura. Comparing Boff’s and Heidegger's notion of care, in this paper authors emphasize the importance of care as a constitutive and essential moment of humanity. The myth suggests that, acording to Boff’s interpretation, human being contains not only earthly but also the divine dimension. For him, care becomes a key possibility of healing and salvation of human essence and existence as a whole. On the other hand, through the phenomenological approach, Heidegger in his major work Being and Time, argues that care is the primary concern of the structure and meaning of being human in the world. In this paper authors present and discuss the basic concepts and theses of those authors, and the expected contribution of this paper will go towards pointing out the importance of care as the ground of the inner possibility of the human beings and the existence of life as a whole.

Kritička misao u Bosni i Hercegovini do Prvog svjetskog rata

Before the World War I, the critical thought in Bosnia Herzegovina was developing very slowly, due to the fact that the basic prerequisites for its affirmation did not exist, namely, national and civil freedom, organised cultural life and awareness on the significance of this thought for spiritual and moral life of people. Therefore, in all realms of life various kinds of ideological thought — religious, national and political — dominated instead. In spite of all these unfavorable conditions, the critical thought was spreading more and more in the second half of the 19th century and in the beginning of the 20th century in certain religious and national communities, namely in the public life of Bosnia and Herzegovina and thus this country was gradually becoming a part of the contemporary European cultural circle. A special contribution in it was made by the best educated local intelectuals and writers who were courageous enough, patriotic and morally conscious to search the truth (in spite of all dangers and resistance they encountered) and condemn all manifestations that threaten dignity and moral integrity of the local people. Owing to this, the critical thought could maintain and beneficially influence the civilizational progress of Bosnian country and its nations.

From Posthuman to Posthumous and Back

In this paper, I will endeavor to deal with the issues of the modality and status of human beings and forms of ‘existence’ that may depart from our understanding of what is meant by the term ‘living’. In this process, I shall refer to the contemporary ‘post-human discourse’, and its various aspects and interpretations, which are employed as a means of redefining the human condition. By means of examples, I shall try to explore the fear of death and the human quest to extend life by various means. Posthumanism is the dominant idea of today, and the problem of posthumanism in this text is dealt with in a narrow ideological sense that advocates the abolition of human biological limitations, and in the broader sense, a policy of globalization that works less directly, but significantly more forcefully, through the change of forms of human behavior to achieve the same goal. Hence, new ways of avoiding ‘crossing over to the other side’, as well as old ways, are still being sought. Holograms, these digitally-generated 3-dimensional images have been used as a means of providing entertainment by generating a simulacrum of an artist to perform for an audience, regardless of whether the actual artist is still alive. Thus, biological mortality is conquered and the line between life and death is blurred.
