Summary/Abstract: In this text the author testifies about the traces left by acad. Virgil Cândea in the Antim monastery in Bucharest, ever since the hesychastic meetings of The Burning Bush, and then through his connections, as an employee of the Academy library, with the library of the Holy Synod hosted by Antim, to whose scientific reorganization he contributed. The article emphasizes the academician's love for the book and for the library of Antim, to which his son gradually donated 1500 rare copies.
