Summary/Abstract: Effective communication in mediation requires the use of different skills. Talking is only one of them. Listening and asking questions is more important. These are two key skills for the mediator’s work. Knowledge of non-verbal communication is also important. To this should be added the ability to detect lies and manipulation.
