Summary/Abstract: Addressing the problem of the protection of the cultural heritage in the context of the post-war social and legal reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the author considers the possibility that the nomination of the historic urban area of Jajce for inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List could be a great opportunity for a new institutional approach to the problem of heritage in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
